Get to know Cristina Rossi-Lamastra
Cristina Rossi-Lamastra holds a PhD in Economics of Innovation from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. She is currently Full Professor of Business and Industrial Economics at the Politecnico di Milano School of Management. Her research interests are in the area of Entrepreneurship, Organizational Economics, and User Innovation. More specifically, she has studies new firm creation at the local level, focusing in particular on knowledge spillovers from universities; collaborations between startups and the Open Source software community (business models, incentives, project participation, innovation processes); organizational design of startups, crowdfunding (with a special focus on community creation and development). Cristina has published on these topics in Science, Management Science, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Research Policy, Economic Letters, Industry & Innovation, R&D Management, Long Range Planning, Small Business Economics, Managerial and Decision Economics, among others. She is Associate Editor of Journal of Small Business Management and of Journal of Industrial and Business Economics. She edited (or is currently editing) special issues on Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Industry & Innovation, Journal of Small Business Management. At the Politecnico di Milano School of Management, Cristina is member of the Steering Committee of the Doctoral Program in Management Engineering and serves as Deputy Director of the Alumni Relations of the MIP Graduate School of Business. She was General Representative at Large of the Interest Group of Entrepreneurship and Strategy of the Strategic Management Society and Representative at Large of the Division of Technology and Innovation Management of the Academy of Management.
